100 Days of Mixed Media Fun Week 2 Supplies

As it should say to the right, and you can find more details about below, if you use any of my Amazon links and make a qualifying purchase, I will make a small commission as an Amazon associate. This does not affect your price, but allows you to support my channel with your purchase. So, thanks so much if you do! The same is true of my Blick links as a Blick affiliate.

Week 2 Supplies

I typically buy my paints from Blick Art Materials. They’re cheaper than on Amazon, but there isn’t always free shipping.

Liquitex Professional acrylic ink
phthalo blue red shade
deep violet
iridescent bright silver
phthalo blue green shade

Richeson Disposable Palette Paper Pad, 50 sheets (Yes, disposable BUT you can reuse these with this technique!)

Available on Amazon
As mentioned in the video, medical exam paper is sold in bulk, so be sure you want to use it for a while or share.
I just searched again for something comparable sold in lesser quantities and found this.

I used my favorite scissors again, of course. I love these things and have been using them for years, including when I worked at a preschool where I had to do lots of, and I mean lots of, project prep. Yes, I have the two-pack, but I’ve lost track of which pair is which and they both still work GREAT despite all my abuse.

An inexpensive water spray bottle like this is invaluable for mixed media. You could probably find one at your local dollar store.
I’ll be trying out continuous spray soon!

And here’s a palette paper option.

Here’s a link to the Liquitex Basics page of the Liquitex Amazon store if you prefer to buy on Amazon.

Other materials I had on hand and/or bought locally
The tissue paper I used was inexpensive gift-wrap tissue paper. One I commonly use is from Dollar General. As is the white plastic tablecloth.
