Soft sun touching cold High eaves unbroken dripping February thaw

Sky gray-white flat close Cold drizzle softening ice Bitterness ebbing

Sodden-dark trunks rise Black mud soft-edged graying snow Green rhododendron

Sun-bereft morning Icy melting monochrome Evergreen broken

Gray-white hovers low Weeping away ice and snow Cold tears bear rebirth

Someone turned 12 yesterday... and again made her Someone turned 12 yesterday... and again made her own birthday cupcakes. 😊
I love the deep blue of cobalt glass. And there's I love the deep blue of cobalt glass. And there's just something so satisfying in a tall cobalt glass of milk. Yeah, I drink almost as much milk as I did when I was a kid. And I love how it looks in my favorite glass.

At times I feel the pleasure of small things so intensely I almost cry, (okay, yes, sometimes I actually do cry), or feel I'll burst with it. At other times I'm numb; the world is just an exhausting reality I have to exist in.

Days like today I can simply enjoy my glass of milk with my eclectic lunch, take pleasure in the beauty I see in cobalt blue and Christmas lights, and find this moment enough. I can pause to breathe peace before taking on what's next. And I can invite you to take a moment to enjoy something you find beautiful... and breathe.
