    The Water Is Where

    Another summer winding down

But... fun, relaxing, balancing... even with the pale places from matte medium from the facing page. I did miss my #The100DayProject #My100DayArtJournal square pages. But working in this art journal for the new Art Journaling at the library is nice. I'm looking forward to next month's meeting. And am enjoying learning about various mixed media techniques, while also doing things like this random play with markers.

Yup, 100!

Playing with colors and metallics in the morning sun. I may have lost track of time... Yeah, I absolutely lost track of time. We'll call it a Vitamin D treatment session along with creative self-care. But now, yes, other things to do.

Though gotta take a moment to say I'm very excited about starting a regular art journaling thing at the library. It was fun to see others enjoy it, and know that there's enough interest to keep it going - and more motivation to keep me taking time for something so good for me. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Old journal entries and Facebook statuses can make Old journal entries and Facebook statuses can make good art journal entries. This was both. The lettering isn't great, and previous iterations made up various numbers before this, but here is Sunday's 99/100 of #The100DayProject

Yup, you guessed it... I'm saying it again: It doesn't have to be perfect to be worthwhile. The beauty of creating an art journal is the freedom to say whatever you want, in whatever way you want, to try out a new medium, new techniques, without fear of judgment or pressure to do your best. It's up to you whether or not you share it. I've shared #My100DayArtJournal to encourage you to start an art journal and/or develop a regular habit of creativity, to take time for creative self-care.
